About Your Pet AuPair

Just because you’re away doesn’t mean your pet should miss a beat.
We believe every pet deserves thoughtful, personalized care—not just the basics. Sure, we’re handling the essentials like potty breaks, meals, and water refills. But we’re also bringing the extra stuff that really matters: play, enrichment, and a whole lot of love.
We take the time to get to know your pet’s personality so we can tailor each visit to what they need to feel happy, safe, and balanced.
-
Got a high-energy pup who needs to zoom it out? We’re ready.
-
A little shy and needs time to warm up? We’ve got the patience for that, too.
-
Prefer things done exactly the same way every time? You’re speaking our language.
No matter their vibe, we’re here to meet them where they are—and make sure they’re feeling great while you’re away.
It’s this thoughtful, pet-first approach that leads to relaxed, content animals and peace of mind for you. And as pet parents ourselves, we know just how important that truly is.

Meet The Owner
Hi, I’m Nicole...
Founder of Your Pet AuPair and proud cat mom to Violet, Clover, and Mimi (yes, that’s my grandma name!) to my daughters’ dogs: Daisy Mae, Blossom, and Sally. I’ve called Harford County home for most of my life, and it’s always been filled with wagging tails, purring sidekicks, and a deep love for animals. I’ve felt a connection to them for as long as I can remember—but everything changed when Daisy Mae joined our family. That bond made it crystal clear: this isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s what I’m meant to do.
Pet care isn’t a side hustle for me—it’s my purpose. I wake up every day genuinely excited to see the furry faces I get to spend time with (and yes, there are plenty of sits, sniffs, and full-body wiggles involved).
Of course, I don’t do it alone. Your Pet AuPair is powered by an incredible team of dedicated animal lovers. Each team member goes through hands-on training and is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid—because safety isn’t just a priority around here... it’s our love language.
Come meet the team—we can’t wait to meet your pets!

Meet The Team

Hi! I'm Kim and I'm so happy to become part of Your Pet AuPair! A little about myself: of course I've always been an animal lover, that goes without saying! I worked 4 years at a Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinarian Tech, and eventually expanded my duties to become a Boarding and Grooming Supervisor. I have training in caring for hospital boarders and animal behavior.
I have shared my home with a vast menagerie of pets over the years and now look forward to walking yours!

Hi, I'm Rae! I love hiking, traveling with my Fiancé, and our four cats! I've been in the Pet Care industry since I was 19, but I've been an animal lover my whole life. I grew up with a dog by my side, and more recently, cats too! I've even had a family of Rats, as well as Red Eared Sliders, and Guinea Pigs.
No matter how small, or big the pet is, I will love them all the same. I can't imagine a life without animals by my side, I took a break from dog walking for two years and missed it so very much. There's no replacement for those wagging tails and smiling faces! I'm so happy to be back and I can't wait to meet all of your pets!

Hi, I'm Melanie. A lifelong animal lover, I am currently the pet parent of 3 fabulous kitties; Phineas, Lucy, and Elliot. In the past we have been happy to call dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters a part of our family. I have volunteered as a dog walker in the past with the Humane Society and am currently a foster parent for Best Friends in Harford County. I look forward to working with you and your pets!
When I'm not working with animals, I am an independent agent for a small family-owned travel agency called A Scoop of Magic.

Hi, I'm Jules!
I have an extensive history with a variety of animals. Outside of this job I'm a breeder-owner-handler of Cardigan Welsh Corgis. I play at various dog things like conformation dog shows, obedience, rally, tricks, fast CAT, nose work, and herding. I have worked in large kennels of 20+ show dogs of various breeds and I also have experience helping out with rescue work, reactive dogs, and other special needs dogs.
I grew up in rural northern Maine in a house with dogs, cats, tropical and saltwater fish, various rodents, a handful of reptiles, and an aviary with approximately 200 small and medium birds. I also have experience with chickens and farm rabbits (as opposed to pet rabbits - I don't know anything about pet rabbits, lol).

Hello, I'm Katie! Animals of every kind have been an extremely important part of my life since birth! My personal menagerie of pets throughout the years have included dogs (and puppies), cats (and kittens), birds, hamsters, mice, bunnies, and guinea pigs.
At age 12, I got my first job walking dogs in my neighborhood, which then morphed into house sitting all sorts of pets for friends and neighbors. I eventually got a job as a trainer and kennel technician at a dog training/daycare/boarding facility and absolutely loved every minute I got to spend playing with, walking, and training puppies and dogs of all ages and sizes! I'm so excited to be back working in the pet field and can't wait to spend time with your furbabies!

Hi, I'm Sue! I have lived in Harford County for over 25 years with my husband Frank and our adult daughter Haley, who is a Vet Tech.
We love pets of all shapes and sizes! We are currently the proud owners of a rescued Labradoodle, 1 Cat, 2 Parakeets, 2 Sugar Gliders, 40+ Pigeons, 6 Chickens and a pond full of Fish. There isn't much we haven't had in our home over the years. I have never met a fuzzy face (or feathered or scaly!) that I haven't instantly fallen in love with. I consider it a privilege to be allowed to love on your babies and help out in any way I can.

Hi, I'm Mike! I'm a recent transplant to Bel Air from Baltimore County with my wife and son. Currently we are fostering 2 grand-dogs, Athena & Calliope for our daughter and fellow Your Pet AuPair team member, Paige.
Dogs have always been in my life since I could barely walk and talk.I'm looking forward to meeting and caring for your pups as if they were a member of my own family.

Hi, I'm Evan! I have lived in Bel Air and been an animal lover pretty much my entire life. Since I was a kid, I've lived with pets and have loved every second of it. Currently, my parents and I are proud owners of six cats; the one pictured is Caramel.
I very much look forward to meeting your pets and giving them as much love as you do

Hi, I’m Bev! All my life I have found enjoyment caring for a variety of pets: dogs, cats, and parrots. I am originally from Northeast Ohio but have been living in Harford County for many years. I currently live in Bel Air, MD and have 2 very special miniature Dachshunds - Flower and Flash.
I joined the Your Pet AuPair team after having a wonderful experience having the team take care of Flash and Flower! In addition, I volunteer for the dog team at Luna’s House. I can’t wait to take care of your special pets!

My name is Tiffany. Born and raised in the Caribbean, I've now resided in Harford County for over a decade. During my childhood years, all of my family members have been dog owners. I've also been a pet mommy to rabbits, hamsters and a turtle .I have always had a special relationship with animals.
My time here at Your Pet Au Pair has been a wonderful learning as well as mentally stimulating experience. When you love what you do, you produce better performance. I ensure you that your precious cargo will always be treated with kindness, patience, and respect when in my care!

Hi, I'm Brooke!
I have been a Harford County resident my whole life. I love to be outside in nature, hiking, swimming, traveling etc. I am also a big advocate for bettering the environment.
I have always had pets growing up and don't feel a home is complete without a furry companion. My family had a dog, cat, guinea pig, hamster, and fish growing up. I have two cats of my own and they are my absolute world!
I am so excited to be apart of this team to help take care of your furrmily. Pets are such an important part of our families and I am happy to take care of yours as such!

Hi there! My name is Kellie, and I’ve lived in Bel Air my entire life. My family loves animals, so my siblings and I grew up around pets of all shapes and sizes. We currently share our home with three great danes (that’s Henry in the picture!), four cats, two parrots, and a lop rabbit. When I’m not caring for pets, I work as a freelance illustrator. I love to draw animals, especially snakes!
I began pet sitting in 2018, and I always l look forward to making new friends. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Hello! My name is Maddie. I was born and raised in Harford county and now live on three acres in Abingdon. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have a lot experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals, birds, livestock and many other species. In addition to my reptiles, small mammals, birds, and livestock I have three dogs and three cats. A standard poodle, miniature poodle and disabled senior chihuahua.
I have experience working in the veterinary medicine field and worked as an AKC groomer for many years. I also have extensive experience with disabled and senior pets of all kinds and training basic obedience, agility and service dogs.
I’m excited to meet each and every one of your pets and give them the best care as if they were my own!

Hi, my name is Pete! I'm a Harford County native and have lived in Abingdon my whole life. Though I only have one dog now, my American Bulldog Nova, I have had numerous rescue dogs of all different ages, sizes, and breeds in the past. I am passionate about animals of all types; I have pet cats, snakes, lizards, pigeons, chickens, rabbits, and even insects as well!
Animal rescue is something I feel deeply about, and I've spent much of my time volunteering with and fostering for many rescues. Most of my experience has been with senior, special needs, and disabled animals, and I think every animal regardless of their circumstances deserves all the love and care we can give them. I could never imagine a life where I'm not surrounded by all my furry, scaly, and feathered friends, as they really are my family.
I'm so excited to meet your pets; no matter how hairy, spiky, or slimy, and care for them like they were my own

Hi there! I'm Haley and I've lived in Bel Air just about my whole life. I own a Blue Nose American Pitbull Terrier and a Cocker Spaniel; Flintstone & Spanky.
I love to be outside working or with my boys playing fetch! My parents own a landscaping company and I've worked with them since I was 15. I have grown up with all types of pets around me. I've taken care of cats, birds, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, lizards, snakes, I really could go on and I absolutely love every single dog! No matter how big, small, or goofy; you name it and I love it.
I've had some experience with disabled (blind & deaf) animals as well and I have house/pet sat for family friends for many years! I'm so very excited to meet your pets and love them like they're family!

Hi! I’m Elizabeth and am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I have 5 miniature dachshunds (yep you read that right, 5!) along with some other small scaly friends. Three of my pups are special needs and require a bit more advanced care, so I am always happy to follow instructions and make your furry friends as comfortable and loved as possible. I also spend my free evenings and weekends volunteering as a vet tech at the Harford County Humane Society and plan to become registered to hopefully help more animals in the future. When I’m not spending time with your pets, you will find me behind a computer working as a systems safety engineer with my wiener dog assistants by my side.
I feel so lucky I get to spend time and care for your beloved pets. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of them!

Hi, I'm Dr. Shannon and I have been in the veterinary field in some capacity since 2003. I received my DVM from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. In 2013, I helped launch the New Jersey Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice location and went full time with them in 2016. When I moved to Maryland in 2020, I decided to carry on my calling in end-of-life care to my own business - Eternal Pawprints Veterinary Hospice.
In addition to helping families and pets in their last years and moments, I have found that I still love pet sitting. When I found Nicole and Your Pet AuPair, I instantly loved her and her company. We are both Fear Free certified which means we take pet's stress and behavior to their environment very seriously. Her and her company's dedication to servicing this community is exactly what I am looking to be a part of. I look forward to meeting your pets and sharing in their cuddles and kisses.
